June Cooper was born in the thirties and has always had an interest in Art. Her artistic talents led her into a career as a Hair Stylist before getting married and having a son and daughter. After they had grown up and settled in their own careers she studied Art seriously at Southampton Art College where she was a student of Peter Folkes.

Although June has painted in Oils, and occasionally goes back to this medium, her great love is Water Colours which she finds ideal for painting flowers and floral scenes, subjects which have become her main interest.

June, who lives in the lovely village of Stanton Fitzwarren in Wiltshire, is a Member of the Society of Floral Painters and is an active member of a number of local Art Societies. She successfully shows her paintings in the Wiltshire area but has also exhibited in Tunbridge Wells, East Grinstead, Bristol, Cookham, Lyndhurst in the New Forest and the Isle of Wight.
